Hotel Trident Udaipur Reviews
A pleasant, well presented modern hotel which offered good value
for money. We stayed for two nights and found the Hotel staff
friendly and helpful at all times. Whilst the Trident is located
a bit (5 mins) outside the town it is easy to get auto rickshaws
to and from the hotel. The pool view room was comfortable, clean
and well serviced. The pool area itself is nice, with good views
of the gardens and beyond. However it lacks a little in terms of
shade from the sun. On one of the evenings that we were there a
private party was taking place in a marquee on the lawn with
live entertainment which we able to view from the pool side.
However this may have been disturbing if you were looking for
peace and quiet. The buffet breakfast had a good choice but
service was a little slow on the 'egg cooking' front. We did not
eat any other meals at the hotel as there are good restaurants
in town (Ambrai and Jagat Niwas Palace ). All in all a
recommended choice for a comfortable stay in the delightful city
of Udaipur.

A nice modern hotel. Our room was clean and everything worked
well, including the AC and electric kettle. Of all the hotels in
our 3 week trip, this one had the nicest rooms. The staff was
also very friendly. If there was any fault with the service,
it's that we were constantly polled for what we thought of
things. We didn't have the heart to be too critical. Our chief
complaint was the food. It ranged from bland to extremely salty.
My wife picked up an undercooked pork sausage from the breakfast
buffet one morning. My Gujarati Thali plate (supposed to be on
the sweeter side) on our last night was so salty I couldn't eat
most of it, and my naan was burnt to charcoal. Still, a very
pleasant oasis and I'd gladly stay again. They have a private
nature reserve with feedings twice a day and a nice pool area as
well.
